Celebrate Women of Steel at the Plowright

Celebrating 125 years of the steel industry in Lincolnshire, Women of Steel comes to the Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe this week.

A Scunthorpe family is thrown into turmoil with the outbreak of World War Two.

Loved ones leave to fight and women find themselves immersed in a man’s world.

War changes everything and life will never be the same again, but one thing remains constant, the awe inspiring, commanding presence of the town’s indomitable steelworks.

Performances are at 7.30pm each night from Thursday, June 16 to Saturday, June 18 plus a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
