Choral Society set to handle Handel

There will be seasonal entertainment at Sleaford's St Denys' Church this weekend when Sleaford Choral Society perform in concert.

The troupe present Handel’s Easter Messiah along with Faure’s Requiem on Saturday at 7.30pm.

The conductor for the performance will be Rowland Lee, with David Shepherd as the organist.

Tickets are priced at £8 for adults, but accompanied under 16s go free.

They are available from Wilcox & Carter, in Bristol Arcade, Sleaford, any choral society member, or at the door.

Sleaford Choral Society ­– a registered charity – meets generally every Wednesday at 7.15pm between September and the end of May in the Northgate Methodist Church.

Anyone who misses this weekend’s show, can catch the society again next month.

The troupe will perform a Concert of Members’ Favourites on Saturday, May 21, at 7.30pm, again at St Denys’ Church.
