A cracking time for Trinity

GAINSBOROUGH’S PREMIER entertainment venue Trinity Arts Centre is celebrating the end of a successful season.

Despite the economic gloom, the venue reported full houses for live shows such as Glad all Over and the Nutcracker ballet and for the classic film Jane Eyre.

The Centre is run by West Lindsey District Council, and Coun Jessie Milne said she was greatly encouraged by recent attendances.

She added: “It really looks like all the good things are set to continue.”

WLDC say that the Trinity Arts Centre Spring programme is almost finalised and includes iconic films such as The Adventures of Tin Tin, My Week with Marilyn, The Iron Lady and Wuthering Heights as well as the blockbuster The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Coun Gill Bardsley said: “We’ve also got live shows featuring folk artist Vin Garbutt and the Hoot Comedy Club.

“Also, we are currently negotiating for another live show which we are sure will be particularly popular.”

Coun Barsdley added: “This is in line with our policy of giving our audiences what they have told us they want and I am certain that this approach will pay off.”

- The last show of Trinity Arts Centre’s current season is the pantomime production of Aladdin until Wednesday 28th December.

Tickets are £6.50 for children and £10 for adults or £8 with concessions. Family tickets (two adults and two children) are £28. To book yours, you can call the Trinity Arts Centre Box Office on 01427 615323 or visit www.trinityarts.co.uk.
