A food bank in Spilsby is helping members of the community struggling through the pandemic to enjoy some family time cooking together.

Judith Coe, of the church, said: "Whilst a food bank can help families put food on the table, here at the Christian Fellowship we like to do a bit more..

"The majority of children are being educated at home and may need a break from computer-based learning…

"We have decided to support their basic life skills by giving families opportunities to enjoy time exercising, cooking and eating together.

"We will be selecting foods we have in ample supply at the food bank as the basis for “Together at Home' cooking packs.

"Each pack will contain a recipe and the ingredients necessary to make a nutritious meal for a family of four

"Throughout this lockdown, our food bank will remain open and parcels will be available to those who contact us."

Packs, which are free, can be ordered on the Spilsby Christian Fellowship Facebook page.
