In Pictures: Record turnout for 10th annual Caistor Beer Festival

There was a “record turnout” for this year’s Caistor Beer Festival – which marked its 10th anniversary in the town.

Organised by Caistor Lions, the festival returned on Friday and Saturday with a huge selection of beers and ciders, along with live music.

Visitors were invited to raise a glass in celebrating 10 years of the popular event – with a special commemorative beer named Ten Summers being brewed by Crooked Concept Brewing.

Andy Gutherson, from the Lions said: “We had a record turnout over the weekend. All 35 beers, one lager and 14 ciders were drunk dry. Non alcoholic options also went down well.

“We had live music on both days, with people dancing throughout. A special mention to Riff-Raff, The Rewinds, Punky Munkeyz and Project Emily for their late night slots.”

He added: “We would like to thank all the sponsors. All monies raised enable the club to continue its charitable works.”

One visitor summed up the event, when they commented: “10 amazing years of beer festing in the park with Caistor Lions. Loads of quality beers, ciders and great live music – and one incredible town of people. It was superbly organised and supported. A special thanks to Andy Gutherson and Robert Turner for your dedication to organising this event over the years - you’ve created a masterpiece.”
