Scenes of revellers enjoying Super Saturday around Sleaford were muted as police reported a quieter than average shift after warnings against drinkers ‘overdoing it’.

Here we take a tour of those pubs that opened on July 4 after lockdown easing in line with government guidance, although others did choose not to open yet due to unfinished refurbishments. Some decided to allow things to settle down after the initial expected rush. The Grapes in Sleaford’s Southgate is said to have stopped allowing customers into the bar early after becoming concerned about numbers and social distancing indoors.
