Footie fever at Thoresby

A story of love, pain and two brothers who would die for their team and the beautiful game is coming to Thoresby Riding Hall on Saturday 17th September.

Zach Lee’s critically-acclaimed 2010 Edinburgh Fringe comedy Two Brothers and One World Cup is a tale of tribute act The Vindaloo Brothers - set against the backdrop of the World Cups 1982-2010.

After splitting acrimoniously in 2006, one brother returns to make peace at the 2010 tournament.

Can he reconnect to a family that was never really connected in the first place?

He’s wronged his elder sibling and upset all the locals, but he’s still his Scottish mam’s wee soldier.

He’s also got a secret that will crush everybody.

With a minimal set, two actors and two guitars on stage, the unique structure of this play allows the audience to choose the sequence of events at each performance, making every show unique.

The show has received fierce public and critical acclaim, with The Public Review commenting: “The show takes the gap between performer and audience to new levels, yet pushes the concept to the extreme by allowing the audience to determine what comes next.”

“As such, this really is a dynamic, unpredictable production with that added thrill of anticipation and expectancy.”

Kick off is 7.30pm on Saturday 17th September. Tickets, priced £10 and £8.50 concessions, can be bought by calling the box office on 01623 822009.
