'˜Secret' Horncastle garden is well worth a visit
The informal spring gardens and grounds of The Manor House in Manor House Street, will be open for viewing this Saturday, March 24.
Even at this stage of the year, the gardens are a riot of colour and feature an orchard bordered by the River Bain.

Hide AdThey also include Roman remains and an adjacent medieval well.
The event is part of the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) with the gardens open from noon to 4pm.
Entry is £3 (children free) with the funds going to the national nursing, gardening and other charitable causes supported by the NGS.
These include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie and Hospice UK.

Dogs are welcome in the Manor House garden on a short lead.
There is restricted wheelchair access, as some areas are not accessible.
Teas will be available in St Mary’s Church just across the road from The Manor House.
Money raised from the teas will go to the church.
