Lincoln Mystery shows

Just like the Olympics, the Lincoln Mystery Plays are staged only every four years, with nine performances taking place at the heart of historic Lincoln this July.

From 10th-21st July, the ancient scripts will be given a contemporary edge with the assistance of fire artists, spectacular sound and lighting, digital imagery and other art forms.

A show spokesman said: “Taking the timeless truths of Bible stories and telling them with humour, dignity, solemnity and awe, the medieval art of Mystery Plays as entertainment for the masses continues to draw discerning audiences.”
