Lincs: Duo to perform Elgar masterpiece at Performing Arts Centre
The beautiful sound of Elgar's Violin Sonata will fill the air at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre this weekend in a performance by Jennifer Pike on violin and Jeremy Pike on piano.
The Sonata for Violin and Piano in E Minor Op 82 is regarded as one of the finest of all romantic sonatas for the instrument in this English programme which also includes the original version of the evocative The Lark Ascending by Vaughan-Williams and Elgar’s Sospiri.
The performance is on Sunday, January 24 at 3pm.
