Magical '˜tail' is set for the stage

The curtain is set to rise on the latest pantomime from the Heckington Players amateur dramatics group ... and it is set to be a paw-some production.

Puss in Boots opens on Friday for a run of eight performances at Heckington Village Hall, in High Street.

Penned by seasoned panto scribe Kei Bailey, it promises to be as magical, colourful, and hilariously funny as ever.

It tells the ‘tail’ of poor Tom and his pet cat. Down on their luck, with nowhere to live and not a penny to his name, Tom gets helped out by his friend Treacle and her Mum, Dame Victoria Sponge.

Tom soon meets the beautiful princess Adele and they fall in love, but all is not straightforward.

The evil Lord Grimguts is terrorising the kingdom and it is down to Tom to save the day, along with his newly enchanted cat – Puss in Boots!

Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £4 for children and are available through calling the new box office number 07486 153382.
