If you like the excitement of a PGL activity holiday and want to become part of the team which provides them, two recruitment career days will outline new opportunities.

The New Year is the time to start searching for fresh prospects in 2022 and whether you live near to impressive grade II listed Caythorpe Court or would like to ‘live in’ at its staff accommodation, these roles are open to everyone.

The wide choice ranges from hospitality jobs in catering – from preparing and serving meals to assistant and head chefs – to cleaners and maintenance staff, retail assistants and even English language tutors. Full time and part-time fixed term contracts are available, as well as part-year permanent positions.

PGL’s Tom Mountain explained: “Whether you are an activity instructor or providing the support for a PGL stay by cooking guests’ meals or changing their beds, you are all part of the same enthusiastic team which shares a great camaraderie.

“It is a fun, lively environment to work in and we all have one common goal of providing the best possible experience for families and youngsters who are staying with us. It is our task to welcome guests and create a good impression, while maintaining our high standards of quality right across the centre.”

The roles are suitable for all ages, from students enjoying a gap year to more experienced and older applicants. Accommodation and free uniforms are provided, with meals for staff staying on site and lunches for those who choose to travel in each day. Wages range from £8.91 to £10 an hour for entry level jobs, with jobs starting in February for the 2022 season.

The PGL centre hosts stays for children aged from eight to 17 years, as well as families at certain times of the year. It offers exciting activities including canoeing, climbing and motorsports, as well as archery, orienteering and trapeze skills training. It also hosts events and tournaments at sporting weekends.
