The crowds of sunworshippers and swimmers certainly kept the local RNLI lifeboat crews on their toes – with numerous call-outs throughout the day.
Photographer John Byford was down on the golden sand to capture all the action.
He said it was “an incredibly busy day” adding: “The beach was packed and full of people making the most of it.
“Despite the hottest temperature on record yesterday for a bank holiday, it was on par with last year’s crowds - and it was great to see! Skegness certainly put smiles on peoples faces.”
