During this five-month trip he endured 3,000km of mud and gravel, 67,000m of ascent and countless G&T’s.

He is now coming to Trinity Arts Centre in Gainsborougn to talk about his travels, read extracts from the book, and signing copies.

As well as tales of his adventures, there will also be route guidance and travel advice for anyone else dreaming of such an epic journey.

He is at Trinity Arts on Sunday, April 17 at 7.30pm.
