Crafty Ladies meet every Thursday in the village hall and specialise in traditional quilt-making. Cranwell Contemporary Textile Group meets monthly in the village hall and produces “quilting with attitude” and textile art, says group chairman Wendy Skinner.

She said: “We have not got that many members so we thought it would be a good opportunity to do a joint show and it is a good venue.

“I live in Skegness, but find it worthwhile to travel for meetings here.”

She added: “There will be lots of good stuff to see. Many have exhibited before at major shows.”

Examples of members’ quilting and textile work will be on show in the village hall and St Andrew’s parish church on July 16 from 10am-4pm, and on July 17 from 10am to 4pm in the village hall and 1pm-4pm in the church.

There will also be trade stands, tea and cakes and plenty of parking space at the village hall (disabled space at the church). Admission is £3, via the village hall.
