Market Rasen Open Gardens is part of the event organised by the club each August, along with the Summer Market and Art & Craft Exhibition.

And plans are well underway for this year, but they would now like to invite more local residents to open their gardens to the public.

“It is an opportunity to showcase what can be achieved in any sized garden,” said Rotarian Derek Anderson.

“Each year, people travel to the town for this event and look forward to seeing the gardens.

“Visitors have always been extremely complimentary and respectful showing admiration for gardeners’ efforts. Most just enjoy wandering through the gardens and getting ideas and inspiration to take away with them.

“Some garden owners have also used the chance to sell teas and plants to raise money for their own chosen charity.”

Anyone able to consider opening this year for one day only, on Saturday August 2, should call Derek Anderson on 01673 842495.
