WIN! Bonfire Night tickets

BONFIRE Night is nearly upon us - and we have a family ticket to a local bonfire and firework display to give away to one lucky reader.

The popular display organised by the Gainsborough Rotary Club is returning at last to Lea Park. As well as a spectacular fireworks show, there will be food and drink on offer as well as a hog roast.

Bonfire Night dates back to 5th November 1605, when Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was caught guarding explosives placed beneath the House of Lords and arrested.

Rotary Club’s Bonfire Night Spectacular takes place on Saturday 5th November at 6.15pm.Admission is £4 for adults and £2 for kids aged 5 and over.

To be in with a chance of winning a family ticket (two adults and two children) just answer this simple question: Q) What year was the famous Gunpowder Plot?

Send your answer along with your name and daytime phone number to: Bonfire Competition, 5-7 Market Place, Gainsborough, DN21 2BP or email [email protected]. Entries to arrive by Wednesday 2nd November. Normal rules apply.
