Ain’t no mountain high, ain’t no valley low, ain’t no river wide enough – to keep The Magic of Motown concert show from getting to Guardian readers this October.

We have teamed up with show organisers to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of tickets to see the show at the Palace Theatre, Newark, on Thursday 25th October.

Officially the UK’s busiest touring production featuring the music of Motown Records, the hit show is coming from the States to tour some of the most prestigious venues across the UK.

The non-stop spectacular features 36 massive chart-toppers from The Supremes, Temptations, Four Tops, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Martha Reeves, Lionel Richie and more.

An all-star cast, a talented live band that faithfully reproduces Motown’s original Detroit sound, 16 sparkling costume changes and tightly choreographed dance routines make this is a must-see show for all Motown fans.

Show producer Michael Taylor said this year is an extra special year for Motown.

“It marks 50 years of number one hits from the world’s favourite record label,” he said.

“To mark the occasion, The Magic of Motown is preparing to sign, seal and deliver its biggest production ever in its nine-year history.”

Michael Taylor is the driving force behind the highly-successful Magic of Motown concert show.

He is no stranger to presenting superb concert shows featuring the music of the Tamla Motown record label.

Back in the mid-eighties Michael arranged to bring in Motown legends from the States to headline at the Butlins South Coast World which then progressed to even bigger events at Wembley Arena which starred the original Four Tops, Temptations, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard.
