There will also be an appearance by internationally acclaimed South Yorkshire soprano Deborah Norman, who performs regularly with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on tours all over the UK and has appeared at La Scala Opera House in Milan.

In a complete change of pace, there will be a more contemporary sound from Junction 33 Dance Band, who are rapidly gaining a reputation as Sheffield and South Yorkshire’s answer to the Glenn Miller Band.

The jazz ensemble from Mount St Mary’s School, Barlborough, will play a super selection of toe-tapping tunes, while South Yorkshire’s Bevox Choir will be demonstrating their unique sound.

The afternoon’s Musical Director is acclaimed pianist and Lost Chord musician David Barnard, who said: “Picnic at the Priory promises to be an event that will grow and grow over the coming years and plans for 2013 and 2014 are already taking place.

“If a chilled afternoon in hopefully sunny weather, listening to great live music within the stunning surroundings of historic Hodsock Priory appeal to you, then this is going to be an event not to be missed.”

The event runs from 3pm to 6pm, and the gates open at 12.30pm for picnickers.

Tickets cost £12.50, with concessions at £10 and Family Ticket (two adults and two children) at £40. To find out more or to book visit www.lost-chord.org.uk or call 01709 811160.
