Successful start to the summer for Horncastle U10s at Cricket Festival
Horncastle Cricket Club’s U10s kicked off their 2026 season with a successful trip to the seaside for the first East Lindsey Cricket Festival of the summer.
Skegness were the hosts and Horncastle were also joined by Grimoldby and Louth Girls to make it four teams in total.
The squad for the day contained six returning players from last season and four new players who got to grips well with the format and performed admirably.
Horncastle played Grimoldby in the first match, Skegness in the second and Louth Girls to finish and, thanks to some wonderful accurate bowling, powerful but clever batting and excellent fielding Horncastle managed to win all three matches.
