Two men, 32 and 38-years-old were arrested at a property on Somerset Road on suspicion of burglary and a man was arrested at a property on Goodison Boulevard on suspicion of drugs offences and handling stolen goods.

After the warrants, two further arrests were made in the town this morning; a 29-year-old man was arrested in Balby on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and a 34-year-old man was arrested on St Sepulchre Gate on suspicion of burglary, drugs offences and handling stolen goods.

All 13 people are currently in police custody and will be interviewed by officers.

DCI Craig Robinson leading Operation Deal said: “Serious Acquisitive Crime can cause extreme distress to the victims, one example being burglary, which is an incredibly intrusive crime that can leave people afraid to be in their own homes, frightened and vulnerable.

“However, it is not only the victims who suffer, those who live in an area where the crime is committed can also feel unsafe and uneasy going about their daily business.

“We are not prepared to accept this for our residents in Doncaster and we launched Operation Deal to try and reduce the number of crimes committed and find those responsible.

“Extra police patrols will be conducted in the areas where the arrests have been made to reassure residents and provide assistance and advice. Today has been a great success, however I would encourage anyone with information or any concerns to please contact the police on 101.”
