46-homes plan in Louth gets the green light

Residents have lost their battle to stop 46 new homes being built near to their properties in Louth.

East Lindsey District Council’s planning committee met yesterday (Thursday) and gave the go-ahead for the new homes on a 2.2-hectare site off Eastfield Road.

The application was initially by the district council amid various concerns.

However, developers Cyden Homes submitted a revised application which was approved by seven votes to five, despite residents again voicing their concerns.

The committee heard the new application will feature a landscaped ‘buffer zone’ offering protection to people living in neighbouring properties.
