93-year-old woman targeted by tricksters in New Ollerton

A 93-year-old woman was the victim of a distraction burglary on Friday 20 February, at about 1.30pm.

A man came to her house on Greenfield Crescent, New Ollerton, claiming to be working on another house in the area and asked her to keep her kitchen taps turned on.

It was subsequently discovered after he had left that £700 had been stolen from her house.

He is described as white, around 38 to 45 years old, of stocky build, around 5ft 8ins tall with collar-length light brown hair.

He wore a dark-coloured long-sleeved jacket over a black shirt or jumper, dark-coloured shoes and a dark jacket.
