A1 collision cyclist named

POLICE have named the cyclist who died following a collision on the A1 on Good Friday.

Stephen Warrington, of the Stocking Farm Estate in Leicester, died when the bicycle he was riding was in collision with a lorry on the northbound carriageway of the A1, near Blyth, at about 4.15am.

The 60-year-old was taken to Bassetlaw Hospital, where he subsequently died.

The northbound carriageway was closed while police conducted their enquiries. It re-opened just after 1pm that day.
