Whether you’re a child of the swinging 60’s or the roaring 20’s, if you’re an existing musician, want to blow the dust off something you haven’t played since school, or even if you’re a complete beginner wanting to try something new, then New Tricks will have something for you.

All genres and instruments are welcome, from rock to reggae and guitars to gamelans.

The taster sessions will offer the opportunity to meet other participants and work with a soundLINCS Music Facilitator to help progress and develop the musical interests that people display a passion for.

The project is funded through Arts Council England and is supported by various Lincolnshire One Venues across the county where the first batch of taster sessions are taking place from July to October.

Sessions are at Trinity Arts Centre in Gainsborough on August 3, August 10 and August 17, from 10am to 12noon each time.

Sessions are also running at Lincoln Drill Hall on Tuesday, July 26 from 11.30am to 1pm and the Terry O’Toole Theatre in North Hykenham on August 1, August 8 and August 15, from 4pm to 6pm each time.

If you already have your instrument of choice then please bring it along with you to the session.

If you would like to use some of soundLINCS’ kit, or would like more information or to register your interest, please contact soundLINCS on 01522 510073 email [email protected]
