Air ambulance first on the scene of crash as motorcyclist injured in collision with car on A153 at Billinghay

Emergency services including the air ambulance attended a collision between a motorcycle and a car near Billinghay this morning (Thursday).

The crash was reported at 7.50am on the A153 Tattershall Road, near Billinghay.

According to a Lincolnshire Police spokesman the biker, a man in his 20’s, was taken to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston but his injuries were not thought to be serious.

A Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance spokesman added: “We were deployed at 7.54am today to a collision involving a motorbike. We arrived at 7.59am and were first on scene. We assisted the land crew when they arrived and returned to base at 8.32am. The patient did not need to be airlifted to hospital.”

The road was temporarily closed while the scene was cleared and has now been reopened.
