The town of Alford is gearing up to host its big annual Craft Market Festival that will be taking place later this month.

Organisers are very much looking forward to this year’s August Bank Holiday Craft Market Festival where there will be the best of Lincolnshire’s craftsmen and women displaying their work for sale.

There will be demonstrations and workshops in ceramics, fimo clay, woodworking, mosaic work, willow weaving and glass blowing.

Plus there is storytelling by Tales of the Heartwood, street theatre from The Earthbound Misfits, a new pop up music tent, acoustic guitar from Banjo Bob, a traditional Punch & Judy show and Djembe Drumming workshops.

Morris dancers will also be there on the the Sunday going through the town.

Alford Manor House will be open and will supply beer and a bbq as well as food from their kitchen such as afternoon teas and light lunches.

There is also extra parking to take advantage of on all three days of the festival at the Alford Town Football Club for only 50p all day.
