Alford student has hair cut off for charity

A Year 12 student from the Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Alford is sporting a sleek new haircut after having her locks chopped for the Little Princess Trust charity.

Students and staff set out to raise money for the the school’s annual charity week just before half term.

This year’s chosen charity was the Ethan Maull ‘Up Yours to Cancer’ Foundation.

Lucy Foster is pictured during her hair cut by Deetre’s Unisex Hair Design and holding the hair she is donating.

The charity provides wigs for boys and girls who have lost their own through cancer treatment. Head teacher Angie Francis said: “I am very proud of Lucy’s willingness to commit to raising funds in this brave manner.”
