Alice's fundraising continues

A student nurse from Ruskington, who said goodbye to her locks in a charity head shave, continues to raise funds for good causes.

Alice Davies, 20, held a coffee morning and cake sale at All Saints’ Church, Ruskington, last Saturday as part of her bid to raise as much as money as possible for Blind Veterans UK and the Leeds’ based St Gemma’s Hospice. She was joined at the event by veteran Ken Barrett, who has received help from Blind Veterans UK.

Later this year, Alice – the daughter of a Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force – will continue her fundraising as she takes on the Blind Veterans’ UK 100k Yorkshire challenge.
