And for the eighth year, there was a presentation of gifts in the Market Place that had been collected for the Women’s Refuge.

The first part of the event was a ride through the town to the Market Place, where donations were presented to the delighted representative of the Womens Refuge.

Following the presentation, the club rode slowly through shopping precinct, then onto the Pilgrim Hospital, where they presented the toys donated by the riders to the Childrens Ward, much to the delight of both staff, patients and parents, a spokesman for the event said.

“Many thanks to all those who attended, and to those who donated gifts, all gratefully received by both the Children’s Ward at Pilgrim and the Womens Refuge,” he added.
