Tom Edwards, one of the early presenters on pirate radio who went on to work in local and national radio and television, lives in the village and will be speaking frankly about his life and career.

In conversation with Andrew Key, Tom will be talking about both the highs and lows of a journey that brought him ultimately to the village more than 20 years ago.

The evening will include Tom’s choice of recorded music that he feels defines his life and also performances of live music too.

Tom’s story is sure to have you both laughing and crying. As Andrew Key says: “This is a rare opportunity to hear about a unique life that has had its moments of great success and desperate troubles too.

“We are so grateful to Tom for agreeing to share this with us – it is going to be a very special evening indeed.”

‘Edwards the Confessor’ is on Saturday April 2 at 7.30pm in Heckington Village Hall. A strictly limited number of tickets, that include a sausage and mash supper, are now available at £7.50 each by telephoning 01529 460272 or 460977.
