Gains Trinity U10s 10 (ten)

TRINITY kept their 100 per cent record intact in emphatic style with a solid performance against an under-strength Blyth team.

Elliot Vasallo opened up the scoring for Trinity once again after a couple of minutes, finding a way through the defence to beat the Blyth keeper from inside the box and it was only a matter of time before they increased their lead and once again Vasallo was there.

Trinity controlled the game throughout, Rawlings dominating the midfield with Butcher, both able to spread the play out wide.

Trinity captain Luke Crossley put them 3-0 up after some excellent pasing in midfield and the Blyth keeper was kept very busy as he pulled off save after save, and had it not been for his performance Trinty could have easily doubled their tally, but at half-time the score was still 3-0, Trinity also missing a penalty.

The second half was pretty much a repeat performance, Crossley grabbed his second and five minutes later completed his hat-trick to put Trinity 5-0 up, Daniel Rawlings grabbed the goal of the day with a first-time shot from outside the box and shortly after Vasallo completed his hat-trick to make it 7-0. Brandon Preston also got on the score sheet.

Blyth did have a couple of chances but solid defending from Connor Merrils and Declan Woodhead meant that Trinty keeper Corin Helgesson had a quiet game, but Blyth did eventually beat the Trinity keeper for a consolation.

Trinity finished off a fine performance, with two more goals both coming from man of the match Preston.

Gains Trinity U9s 3

AFTER an even first half with chances at both ends Trinity opened the scoring early in the second half through Brandon Smith whose shot beat the valiant efforts of the Marshalls keeper Ben Ross, and Lydia Smith scored Trinity’s second.

Ryan Blanchard added a third after following up a shot by Hayden Williamson.

Marshall’ were not without chances and Trinity had to rely on a couple of good saves from Benjamin Barrass and some last minute tackling from David Bavin-Eyre and a goal-line clearance from Lydia. A special mention must go to Lewis Jefferey who produced his best game since joining the club.
