Anti-homophobia day

YOUNG people and staff at The Centre Place in Worksop gathered to celebrate IDAHO on 17th May - the International Day Against Homophobia.

They spent the week promoting this day which is to commemorate the World Health Organisation’s decision to remove homosexuality from the list of mental disorder.

The Centre Place offers support to young people aged 16-25 on a range of issues from counselling, housing to benefits and money management.

The centre also offers drop-in support sessions such Worksop Out On Wednesdays (WOW) and Rugrats Young Parents Support Group.
