The patient, who had suffered a head injury, was flown to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

From Tuesday, September 29 to Monday, October 5, the crew treated 22 patients, with six of them taken to hospital.

Incidents using the helicopter and Critical Care Car involved road accidents, medical emergencies and falls from height.

On Tuesday, September 29, the helicopter and crew were called to Hexby, Gainsborough, following reports of a 28-year-old man in cardiac arrest. Clinicians treated the patient before he was taken to Lincoln County Hospital.

Doctor Paul Hancock said: “It’s been an extremely busy week for our crew.

"During this time, we have provided the highest level of care to patients suffering from life-threatening injuries and illnesses.”
