Appeal after woman and child hurt in crash on A17

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman and a young child were hurt in a two-car crash on the A17 at Fosdyke Bridge.

The woman, a passenger in one of the cars, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The child who was in the same vehicle sustained minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.

The incident happened at around 3.37pm just south of Fosdyke Bridge.

The vehicles involved were a blue Ford Fusion and a red Vauxhall Zafira.

The Ford was heading towards Sutterton while the Zafira was heading towards Holbeach.

The two people injured were both passengers in the Ford.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who might have dashcam footage to contact them.

The road was closed from just after 4pm and was reopened at 9. 40pm.
