£60,000 community building is complete
The new facility, situated on Leasingham Playing Field, cost £60,000 to build – a sum generated over the course of seven years by Leasingham playing field development committee.
The money was raised through a number of means, including many games of bingo, horse racing nights and various other fundraising events.

A large sum of £5,000 was also kindly donated by the village hall committee towards the community building, which is owned by Leasingham and Roxholm Parish Council.
Although the construction and building work is now complete, fundraising efforts will continue in order to furnish the interior of the building.
The building is available for hire, and contact and hiring details will be published soon in Leasingham’s village newsletter and the Leasingham and Roxholm Parish Council website.
A spokesman from the council said: “We would like to give thanks to everyone who has helped with fundraising and a special mention to Leasingham Village Hall for its help and support.”
