Aston: Children enjoy sport in the sun

Children were cheered on by peers and parents throughout the two-day event at the school.

The infants enjoyed their day in the sun on Thursday 11th July, with the juniors following the day after.

Following a number of group sports and races, those supporting the children were treated to cream teas.

A number of stalls were set up as the day combined sport and summer fair.

Headteacher Sue Mellor said: “It was great to be able to have a sports day after the trouble we’ve had in the past two years.”

“It was a great day - all the children took part and it was great to see so many friends and family cheering them on over the two days.”
