Attempted murder trial

A RAMPTON hospital patient accused of attempting to murder a fellow patient has had his case adjourned until later this month.

Edward Latham, 34, also known as Brown, is charged with the attempted murder of a male patient on 10th July last year.

A hearing was held at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday 8th August without Latham being present in court.

Judge Michael Stokes, the Recorder of Nottingham, adjourned the proceedings until 24th August when a trial date will be fixed.

The trial is expected to be before a High Court judge.

Latham was further remanded in custody.
