Award for De Aston's young environmentalists

Councillor Malcolm Leaning, chairman of West Lindsey District Council, paid a visit to Rasen in 1991 to present an award.

This time, he was in town to commend the efforts of the young environmentalists at De Aston School.

He handed over a cheque for £25 and a plaque as winners of the Clean and Green competition. The school came out on top for its can project.

Coun Leaning is pictured with pupil James Fornby, who collected the award on behalf of the school, Wayne Lambert, a district environmental officer, and De Aston headteacher Tony Neal.
