Award winner Nathan is back in Dinnington

AN award-winning Dinnington designer has moved to new premises at the Matrix Business Centre in the town.

Nathan Bestwick took advantage of a European Regional Development Fund project called Growth and Prosperity in Rotherham, run by Rotherham Investment and Development Office (RiDO).

RiDO’s mentors first met Nathan when he set up his first business after graduating with a first class degree in product design from Sheffield Hallam University.

During this time he came up with the milllmii pepper grinder, inspired by those with limited strength and dexterity.

After just one year Yormii had grown significantly and was ready to expand into its own premises, which will enable Nathan to grow the business further.

Nathan is now looking to his next step – to take on workshop space four times the size of his current unit to store products and take on new staff.

Nathan said: “This is such an exciting time for my business and I felt a move to my own dedicated business premises would give me the platform for future growth.”

“This is the perfect base to grow my business and having the workshop space means I will be able to gear up easily to future requirements.”

“I’ve had some great support from RiDO already and with my mentor’s help I have been able to identify new markets in European countries.”

“Martyn (Benson) from RiDO has carried out lots of research, which I simply would not have had the time or contacts to do and put me in touch with relevant organisations overseas.”

Martyn added: “Nathan was brought up in Dinnington and now he is back here showing just what a young entrepreneur can achieve. It is fantastic to see him doing so well in his new premises and so exciting to be able to work with him and help him tap into market opportunities not just in the UK but internationally.”
