Musical director Ken Vernon said: “The band is very grateful for the continuing support from local councillors.”

“The band is going from strength to strength at the moment, and having new instruments means that more children or adults can join and learn how to play without having the expense of providing their own instrument.”

“This makes the band accessible to everyone who has an interest in learning to play an instrument and being part of a good band.”

The band plays regularly in the local community and had success recently at the Worksop Music and Drama Festival. The training band was placed first in the Ensemble Section on 17th March.
