Employees at Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre are celebrating positive results in a new national hospital environment inspection initiative.

The centre scored 99 percent for cleanliness, 89 percent for food and hydration, 92 percent for privacy, dignity and wellbeing and 91 percent for condition, appearance and maintenance.

The new assessment, Patient-Led Assessment of Care Environment (PLACE), puts patients at the heart of the process and the patient assessors have access to all areas including wards, pre-admission, treatment rooms and the outpatients department.
