The annual meeting marked the completion of the club's first year, when it was reported that the club had broken even.

It was decided to run club trips on alternate months and invite a speaker in the months in between.

One new initiative is the Barnetby Cinema, with films planned through the winter.

Films will be shown in the village hall on October 7 and November 4 at 7pm, with entry costing £3, or £10 for a family ticket.

A trip to Chatsworth House in Derbyshire for the Christmas market takes place on Monday, November 28, leaving at 9.30am.

The cost is £13 for club members and £16 non-members, with booking required on 01652 680683 by November 20.
