The Royal British Legion, Bassetlaw Museum and Bassetlaw Council are putting on the display at Retford Town Hall on Thursday 27th June, and Worksop Town Hall the following day, but they are also inviting members of the public to display any memorabilia of their own.

Tony Goodall, from the Royal British Legion said: “The addition of the vehicles will add a spectacular element to the day but we hope there will be something for everyone with personal memorabilia from WWI and WWII such as signing on papers, postcards, pictures and battlefield artefacts.”

“We’ll also have historical information on local regiments and evacuees who travelled in and out of Retford. But we would also like to hear from other exhibitors or people who want to come along and tell their story.”

If you would like to be involved in these events and have anything of interest to display, please contact Tony and Judith Goodall on 01777 707152 or e-mail [email protected] for further details.
