Bassetlaw: Businesses urged to have say on location of employment land
Bassetlaw Council is currently consulting on locations for new houses and employment sites up until 2028.
The council’s Local Plan will include 3,574 new houses and 163.6 hectares of employment land.
Coun Simon Greaves, council leader, said: “I would encourage all businesses in Bassetlaw to have their say on the sites that are identified for employment land across the district.”
“Business growth and job creation is vitally important for local authorities across the country and this consultation gives our businesses the opportunity to tell us if we have the right sites available to support this.”
The sites identified for potential employment land in Bassetlaw are Shireoaks Common, 15.3 ha; Gateford Common, 6.5 ha; Manton Wood extension, 25 ha; North Road, Retford 15.7 ha, land south of Harworth 80 ha and Blyth Road junction, Harworth 21 ha.
