Bassetlaw Cardiac Support Group still going strong after quarter of a century

There were celebrations at Worksop's Crossing Church on Friday as the Bassetlaw Cardiac Support Group marked their 25th birthday.

Members of the self-help group, which has offered a support network for patients at Bassetlaw Coronary Care Unit since 1993, honoured the milestone with a party and cake.

The group meets at the Crossing on the first Friday of each month, maintaining contact and exchanging information with local cardiac patients.

Members meet new friends and access talks by speakers on a wide range of topics as well as occasional visits to places of interest.
