Bassetlaw: Dog owners could be fined £1000 under new legislation

New dog control legislation will be coming into force across Bassetlaw next month.

From Tuesday, September 1, fines of up to £1000 can be issued for offences such as failing to pick up dog mess or walking a dog without a lead in designated public spaces.

The new Public Space Protection Order follows a two month consultation with the public in February and March.
