Bassetlaw: Extra markets for last-minute Christmas shopping

Shoppers will get an extra chance to grab those grab those last-minute gifts, fresh meat and vegetables for their Christmas dinners or just festive period essentials from Retford and Worksop markets this year.

Bassetlaw District Council is hosting an additional market in both towns on Monday, 23rd December.

Cabinet member for regeneration, Jo White, said: “We are delighted to be putting on an additional market in both towns and we hope that shoppers will be able to make the most of this festive opportunity.”

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to wish all our residents and market traders a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.”

Most Popular

There will be no markets in Retford on Boxing Day, Friday, 27th December and Thursday, 2nd January.

Likewise, there will also be no markets in Worksop on either Friday, 27th December or New Year’s Day.

There will be a market on Saturday, 28th December and all markets resume as normal from Friday, 3rd January.
