Bassetlaw: Health heroes revealed at tonight’s awards

The Guardian teamed up with health chiefs to stage the Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Doncaster Free Press Health Awards.

Our loyal readers have been busy voting over the past few weeks and tonight the stars will be recognised for their hard work.

Tim Paget, acting editor of the Guardian series, said: “This is a good chance to celebrate those who work so hard to help others.”

Judges came up with a shortlist of seven individuals and two teams, but who wins the award was down to you.

Award categories included The David Eve’s Award For The Most Caring Nurse, the David Eve’s Award for The Most Caring Person (non-nursing), the Ellie Eve’s Award for Cancer Aftercare and the Team of The Year.
