Bassetlaw: Help Hope at Charity Entertainment Night

Hope Community Services is set to host a Charity Entertainment Night for the people of Bassetlaw.

The event will take place on Friday 28th November between 7pm and 10pm, at The Ambassador Room, Masonic Hall, Potter Street, Worksop, doors open at 6.30pm.

An evening of performances from The Dukes, St Giles School Choir, Laurence Sobieraj and De Burnays Dance School are planned.

A spokesman said: “There will also be a raffle with some exciting prizes.”

Tickets are available from the Hope site, including from the main office on Queen Street.

Local people are also being urged to donate any scarves, gloves, pyjamas, toiletries, chocolates and hats they could give to help out in the winter period.

Staff are also asking households to donate Christmas jumpers for people who are staying in the Hope House Hostel. The deadline for donations of jumpers is 30th November.

“The jumpers will provide comfort and warmth for our clients in the winter months ahead,” a spokesman added.

Anyone wanting to donate can drop items of clothing off in one of the charity’s collection boxes.
